I've heard rumors of another Panera Bread opening in Edmond at one of the new developments (maybe the one on Western and 33rd?). Does anyone have any information?

Hope that's true. It's a great place for picking up a quick lunch.

There were rumours of a location by Western and Memorial, but I haven't heard anything else about it.

Here's hoping for the sake of its prospective customers that, if it turns out to be true, the service is better than that I've experienced recently at our local Panera.

Panera used to be a frequent destination of mine for its atmosphere, service, and quality, but in the last year or so that "triad" has dropped conspicuously, particularly in the mornings, eg empty coffee pots, running out of various items and substituting without asking first, disinterested teenage help that treats you like you're a nuisance rather than a paying customer, etc. There's

I became so frustrated with our location that I finally just stopped going. At some point, a coupon good for a free item on your next visit isn't much of a value when the next visit is more frustrating than the one before.

I hope it is just peculiar to our location. I like Panera, but not our particular one.

I think it may have already been said on the site, but they are opening a new location on NW Expressway and Rockwell, so the possibility of local expansion is possible.

That one opens in May, FYI.

They have the right to sit at a table and do whatever they want while they are there if the place offers free wireless internet then they have the right to use it if they bought something there and to stay a resonable amount of time.

I understand thier right but during lunchtime when its busy as crap, courtesy comes in to play. It's not courteous to sit in a booth by yourself drinking a latte while the lunch crowd is looking for a place to sit. Come on.

I tend to think that that is who Panera Bread is geared towards...

do people really do this? I've used wifi at panera before, and it specifically says to be courteous and not take up a booth (for six) if you're a party-of-one. last time I was there, they changed it and said not to take up a table for four....

usually when I go the people on laptops are sitting by the window at a table for 2 and not taking up that much space.

Yeah, it was crazy. I'm not dogging the people who do this cause cause it seems like a good place to do it at. Just not during lunch hour when people need those seats cause it creates a log jam which essentially leads to loss in business because people don't want to come back.

I'm happy to hear of more locations!
My lunch hour is nearest the one @ N. Western and its way too crowded -- line to the door! So I stand in line stressing if there will be a table and end up getting it to go.

Bacon Turkey Bravo + any of their soups or salads is my fav

To just twitter? Probably surfing the web also. Last time I used a laptop at the Panera at Spring Creek, from the hours of around 11am-1pm they limit the free wifi to 30 mins. After your 30 mins are up, you have to wait after 1 or so to sign back on.

forget the chains.

grab your laptop and go hang out at Vintage Coffee 33rd (aka 150th) just east of Western.

free wi-fi, no time limits. great coffee drinks and tasty pastries from brown's bakery.
