I saw where the Legacy Trail is being extended to Asp connecting it to Campus Corner along Duffy (it currently stops at Jenkins). I thought this was interesting in the article from the OU Daily:

The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments hopes to connect the trails from Edmond to Oklahoma City and to Norman, forming a regional bike and pedestrian trail system.

Such a system would be great, especially if they extended the Legacy Trail north up to Moore and eventually connect to OKC's trail system. In Norman I really wish they would extend the Chautauqua trail from Delta St. up to Lindsey to connect to the existing sidewalks. Also extending this trail in the future south of Hwy. 9 to the river would be interesting.

Not sure about the trail being extended S. of Highway 9, but they working with ODOT, to build or at least leave, open space for trails going East to Lake Thunderbird.
