I just thought I'd add my two cents worth to the Boat ride discussion. My family was visiting from Kansas over Thanksgiving, and we came down to watch the tree lighting, etc.... What a wonderful, wonderful place you have here! We have a river in Wichita but there is nothing to entertain visitors with. Oklahoma City should be proud! We rode the boat that night and had a very entertaining and educational experience. I remember that our boat driver was named Steve and said he was a teacher when he wasn't on the boat. He gave a good balance between humor and information. A real pleasant guy! I just wish that the ride had been longer. Anyway, keep up the good work Oklahoma. We look forward to our return during the Christmas Holidays.

Finding the right balance, again, is an art form. It takes experience, and by default, many guides do not HAVE experience. As a seasonal company, about 50% of the guides each year have only been there for a few weeks, especially in the spring. Unfortunately that means some people will take a boat ride with someone who has yet to master the art form of tailoring a tour to the audience. Just like they will sometimes get a guide who has yet to master making the ballpark turn (the trickiest, and also the most visible, section of the canal) smoothly.

Perhaps Chad... Future Fate may bring you a 44 year old Radio/Club DJ that has mastered that gift, as well as have personality. Keep your eyes open. It can happen. - Smokin Joe ;)

I know this is my first post, so I wanted also to take a moment to introduce myself... "Hi Kids"... I have been lurking this site for a while. Some of the threads that I have been following have been the "Crossroads Mall" thread, as what happens there effects the South Side, which is where I live.

Another thread I've followed has been the Albertson's/Williams/Homeland stores.

Currently I am in Sales... I enjoy talking with people, product is good. I just hate insecurities... So I am considering optons and things for the first of the year. My career has always been on the interesting side to say the least.

Enjoy Cooking, Riding my Harley, NFL, small home and a goofy cat... Yes.. It's the American dream...
