I had always heard him described as a "tough but fair" guy to deal with...and that was even from some people that he had "let go"

OnCue could compete with QT.

OnCue appears to be able to compete, well, with any other C-store occupying a corner today.

OnCue is just as good as QT.

It just seems strange that it operates in secondary markets such as Des Moines, Wichita, Omaha which are much smaller markets but yet the manager at QT stated that they feel like it would not be successful in OKC?

The manager obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. QuickTrip is an Oklahoma-based company and there is no basis for that being their reasoning. The gentleman's agreement is true.

It's really sad that Homeland has taken over these stores..high prices...bad product, (Best Choice) Yuk, the list goes on and on. I really liked having this Albertsons here in Yukon, great selection and some the best produce, meat and they carried alot of items nobody else did.

I too was sad when they sold out to Williams, but was presently surprised, not a whole lot of changes..Thank god. Now Homeland has taken over. I decided to try it out hoping the idiots at Homeland would change things too much...boy was I wrong. I noticed alot of customers at the store felt the same way when I visited yesterday.

I hate the way they price everything, because you must have a homeland card, and half the time you never get the discounts they have posted on the item.

While I'm on the subject, I can't believe the new Target just built here in Yukon did a half *ss attempt of a grocery store...what a joke.

I'm so jealous when I see real stores like on Emeril Green, or when I go back up north to visit...they get it!

That's because it's a regular Target, not a SuperTarget, go visit the SuperTarget on Memorial and Penn or on NE 2nd in Edmond, then you will see a Target with a much fuller and nicer grocery selection.

Buy For Less moved to the MWC Williams store at 15th and Post.

Buy For Less is going all out and giving it a thorough make over.

Ummm, what is so bad about the Target in Yukon having some grocery? Most regular Target stores have some grocery (depends on when they were built).

Target will be rolling out a produce area in select stores. They are already testing this at 2 or 3 test stores. It will depend on the model, size, and time of built to determine which Target stores will carry produce.

Don't get mad, be glad! When you're buying something at Target, you'll be able to pick up that gallon of milk or something small you're needing. :)

Not too crazy about this myself.

And what do you mean by "half the time you never get the discounts they have posted on the item?" Do you mean they don't ring up at the register, or do you mean when you call them on it, they refuse? You know, there is a regulatory agency that handles this. If there are enough people complaining about having this problem, the store will be punished for not honoring its prices.

I had the problem at the DC Homeland, but when I cried foul, the cashier made good. She told me that the discounted prices were supposed to enter automatically, even without the card, but it's not happening.
Problem is - unless you carry the store ad around with you (which I often do if I remember) you never know if you're getting the lower price.

Homelad is still preferable to fighting the crowds and checkers at WalMart. My time is worth more than the extra I pay for groceries - and yes, I'm lucky I'm at that stage where I can say that.

I've been at that point for several years now, so I only shop at Wal-Mart (or Target for that matter) if they are they only place that carries a particular item I need. And unfortunately, since I moved here, that happens a lot more often. But I will say that Crest has been doing a good job of accumulating more and more of the things I buy. At least until recently...

I'll admit I don't do a very good job of watching the prices go by as things are scanned, nor do I do a very good job of paying attention to prices as I'm placing things in my basket. Sometimes, I'm not even very good at paying attention to the amount on my receipt before I sign, which is causing a small problem for me right now. Some things are just worth more than dealing with crowds, lines, and hunting up the cheapest price. But I don't think I'd deal with a store that repeatedly doesn't honor its prices, either. I think I'd try to find a different store.

The "homeland card" is usually tied to your phone number. I haven't had my key chain card in over a year and always just provide my number to the checker for the "discount". Just a ploy to track what your buying anyway. At least they sell beer now. Still waiting on milk, eggs, and bread to come back down now that gas is cheap??

Don't hold your breath on that last. I suspect it will be a while yet.

I only wish a crest or super target was nearby us in Yukon. What I was saying is that there is pent up demand to get away from wally world here in yukon, and target had a opertunity to do the right thing...they failed.

As for homeland, how can one try to keep track of all their discounts if you have the card? And yes, I have called them out several times...it just gets old.

Target have a high risk of losing money in their grocery business, so there is typically only a SuperTarget in an upscale location.

Bottom line, Yukon is still too dang small. Maybe in the future.

I think Wal-Mart needs to rebuild. That store was one of the first SuperCenters. No matter how many times it is remodeled, it is way too small for even small Yukon. I think they should turn the current Wal-Mart into a Sam's, and shut down that dump on I-40!

The MWC Sam's was the first Sam's store, the one near MacArthur was a very early one was well.

Dump may have been a little harsh. The store is old. It's very out dated, and in a strange area, and hard to get to. Yukon would support it!!!

Back in the late 80's Early 90's the current Sam's store was built behind the orginal Sam's store. They tore down the old Sam's just shortly before the current store opened.

The Yukon Supercenter was the first Supercenter in OK the second one was the one in El Reno. I believe the Moore store was the third one built in OK if not the OKC Metro.

it may have been. I do know that the Moore store was #3 for the metro. It was one of the few older Supercenters built for high traffic like the new stores are now.
