A limited number of tickets for the Thunder's NBA season opener will go on sale at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Ford Center. Fans can begin lining up at 2 p.m.
“We want everyone to be able to witness this historic night,” Thunder spokesperson Dan Mahoney said. “We will always have tickets available on game night and this game is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see history in the making. Between the commemorative t-shirt, the great entertainment acts we have lined-up, and the game itself, it will be a night to remember.”
Festivities for the evening begin at 2 p.m. with a full-blown, pregame block party transforming Reno Avenue into Thunder Alley. Fans can enjoy live music, inflatables, sport courts and BMX stunt shows.
In conjunction with the tickets going on sale to the general public, the Thunder will host the Ford F-150 Drive to Drive to a Sellout directly outside the box office. The first 75 fans in line on Wednesday will wait for tickets in comfortable chairs and receive food samples from Buffalo Wild Wings of Northwest Expressway. In addition, a drawing will be held for 24 lucky fans in line to win Opening Night tickets.
