Just wondering why we can't upload and/or host our own avatars? This is about the only BBS that I've seen in the last 10 years that doesn't allow for it. The forum defaults are...well...lacking.

Not a big deal, but I just find it odd and by golly, I like to actually personalize mine from time to tim :)

You can! See mine? Click on your name and then go to What's New... left hand side. It has to be a small size but you browse your pics on your computer and can upload a jpeg.

I have been wondering about that as well. I can't d/l an avatar from my computer because I cannot "unclick" the Avatar setting.

Nope. I can only select the few forum defaults. I see no options to upload my own or even host my own. :(

I have "edit avatar" under settings and options.

...and on the 'edit avatar' screen there should be a control group called 'custom avatar' where you either type a url or upload an image.

I must have had the ability at one point. My current avatar is the one I uploaded a while back.

It's always been that way for me. I've never been able to.

At least I'm now able to post in the "Announcements" section. I couldn't before the site upgrade.

None of you have this?

It's really no big deal, just an oddity. I've not seen a forum in 10 years that didn't allow folks to use their own.

And it's always been like this for me, not just since the upgrade.

Can you close it out and open your browser again. I added you to a new group with new permissions, that should work.

If not, I'll do some more checking and try to figure it out for you.
