Last time in Bricktown I thought I saw a Tapas bar going into the Centennial. Is that still happening?

the Centennial is a bunch of condos at Reno & Mickey Mantle that also houses a Starbucks & Lit Clothing.....I went there last week, and they were still working on the supposed Tapas bar. that part of the building was pretty empty though, doesn't look like it's gonna come anytime soon

I believe that restaurant is going to be called "Bolero," and it is NOT just a tapas bar. It is also a full menu restaurant owned by the same guy who is doing a French place in Edmond. I can't wait for it to open.

And next door to that, In the Raw Sushi is coming right along.

It is the same chef as La Cep in Edmond... I talked to him a few months ago about it and it sounded like a cool place.

Ooooh! This sounds great! I love tapas and have really been hoping something like this would come to OKC. Great for sharing with a group of people.

Yes, Le Cep Bistro is the small French restaurant in Edmond that I was referring to. He also will open Bolero, tapas and entrees, etc.

Bolero Tapas Bar and Spanish Grill should be opening soon from what I hear. The last few Gazette's they've also had a decent size ad and they say they are now hiring with their phone number on the ad.

Been twice - once lunch, once dinner.

Food is great. A very nice change from the standard menus - no coconut shrimp to be found, thank you very much. Sampled 4 or 5 tapas, all of which were really good. The meatballs were nice, and the goat cheese with honey was outstanding. Not exactly tapas you would find in Spain, but a pretty darn nice effort.

For an entree, it will be hard to beat the shredded flank steak dish - no Spanish whiz, but I think it was called Rojo Viejo. Cuban sandwich was very good as well.

Atmosphere is nicer in the bar area. Be mindful of going on a home game night for the Thunder. Parking is a disaster. I called ahead and asked if the restaurant had any dedicated parking. They told me no, but that the big "event parking" lot to the west should be easy to park in. Wrong. Parked nearly to Bass Pro Shops.

Went in last week . . . very disappointing. Perhaps some of the worst food I have had in recent memory. No creativity, giant portions, what’s with that, tapas=small plates, totally greasy empanadas, olive tapenade was just a big bowl of chopped up olives over oil and butter saturated toast. A friend had some mussels that were decent, but I won’t be going back.

I posted in the other thread, but I'll say again- food's OK, prices are high, service was blah, ambiance in the non-bar area merely decent. I think they need to do better to survive at those prices. I'll spend my money on an expensive dinner at In the Raw instead.

My family and I ate at Bolero's last night. I really, really wanted to like this place. I've been to some great tapas bars and know that they can be a wonderful experience if done right. Unfortunately, Bolero's was a disappointment.

The most important thing with any restaurant is the food. We ordered four different tapas (empanadas, fried goat cheese, soft-shelled crab, and scallaps). None of them were good. It's not like they were unedible, they just weren't that filled with flavor. On top of that, the prices were way to high for tapas. Tapas are suppose to be $4-6, not $12-15.

We also ordered the white bean salad, which was okay. But again, nothing to write home about.

The final bill was way too high for what we received. I did like how they had outdoor patio seating and I could see how it'd be nice to sit out there with a drink. Just don't order the food.
