You may want to read "Enslaved by Ducks" by Bob Tarte and possibly the follow up book "Fowl Weather." Don't let the title fool you. They raise all kinds of animals. The first one they get is a sullen bunny named Binky. And then they get him a cat to keep him company. And then another bunny. They branch out from there to birds, then ducks, then, I don't know... I haven't gotten that far. It's a hilarious book so far.
