That's just great, leave it to Oklahoma Liquor laws to screw things up... come on!

I didn't care for the one in Vegas but I'm looking forward to the one coming here.

I doubt it's the liquor laws, I took it as getting permits, etc. They wouldn't need any sort of special license over any other bar/club that is already down there. It's probably just an excuse to hold tight and see how much worse the economy is going to get. Who knows....

If I read correctly, the hangup is investors not turning in documents timely. probably background type checkeroos. Silly investors.

Looks like the opening date is June 24th. There will be a "Coyote Search" June 13-14. Here is the link to the website:

There's a Lackmeyer article on this in today's Oklahoman. Not much new information. Projected open is still June 24. Not sure if he's in a better mood today or not, so I'll leave it up to you to find it, if you're interested. ; )

I'm in a better mood today, but I'd still prefer getting the same courtesy given to bloggers - copy and paste just a portion of my story and link for the full read.
Thanks for humoring me yesterday. The same online person directly and indirectly had gotten under my skin too many times in a short period of time. It's like having someone out there constantly saying to your face and behind your back that you're a terrible cook or you've got a horrible restaurant and then coming to you constantly for a free lunch.

BDP is right - they weren't giving out a lot of new information. I'd say the news boiled down to the audition dates, opening and the fact the founder, who is sort of a celebrity, will be in town next month.

Ya know, Steve. You seem like a nice guy. And I respect your line of work. I'm going to make a point to click on an ad at NewsOK each time I read an article linked from OKCTalk.

Thanks Luke. I'm far from perfect, and I usually know it, any my wife (and this board) are quick to remind me if I forget. I really do like this site, all moaning and complaining of late aside.

Looking forward to seeing the Coyotes ... remember not to order water (if you saw the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about).

I wish them the best. If local people want to try to doom local businesses, I am happy to provide them my ex-wives phone numbers..they love doom and gloom - hell they put up with me, for a while...

Good luck to the owners of this bar! I think it is a neat idea and a great addition to Bricktown's growing diverse nightlife offering. =) Jimmy C

I got the event invitation thing on Facebook. apparently Lil, the owner/founder is going to be there tonight..haven't really heard much besides that. I don't think they really advertised much about the opening.

I wish they had the grand opening on Friday night.... Wed night is tough! I hope it's a great turnout.

Well, I'll try to make it Fri/Sat.. gotta support the local business!

I can see a concept bar wanting a soft opening to have a day or two to firm things up before having a packed house kick arse and dance on the bar night

Oklahoman reported they opened to a capacity crowd.

This is Lil's Blog... ( very colorful language) but I'm looking forward to seeing what she has to say about OKC.

Oklahoman reported they opened to a capacity crowd.

what is "capacity"? I looked at the Daily Oklahoman article and didn't see any mention of this, nor what the actual capacity of the bar is.

Steve

They weren't releasing that number.

The "rated capacity" should be posted somewhere near the door, I would bet they might have been somewhat over that.

Steve

Could have looked.. but seriously, this wasn't exactly an investigative expose. The place was full.

bluedogok

I bet, most places are a "little full" when they first open. I cringed the few times that I went to Bricktown54 right after the opening since I knew what the rated capacity was there.

Walked by the place a weekend or two ago. It was extremely packed. It looked like it was improving business at nearby Maker's as well as spillover crowds seemed to be mingling around.

They just opened two days ago.

You must have seen the Coyote tryouts that were held weekend before last.

well - I went there on opening night and they have some kinks to work out but in general the staff was nice and I hope they do well.

if the girls that get hired to work there are not too attractive, maybe the bar will finally live up to its name.

Wondering if Doug worked any magic with Lil so he can camera and blog to his heart's content on the newest addition to the chain

Doug Loudenback

That would be good! But, no magic, no photos. I haven't made it over there yet.
