Is there an authentic Kosher Deli in the city anywhere?

The short answer is no. But you can still find good, not great, but good deli food around town. There are plenty of corned beef and pastrami sandwiches to choose from . . . The Lunch Box, Someplace Else . . . and good quality deli meats and cheeses . . . Bill Kamps . . . Mediterranean Deli . . . but no place to pick up a great cheese cake, lox on a bagel or tasty deli side dish to take home.

Someone was talking about a "meat hanging in the window" kind of place...

Don't know if that helps at all really.

ODG, I hear the Lox on bagel is pretty good at Saturn Bagel.

Luke, you are referring to MidTown deli that should be opening this fall next to 1492.

I really don't remember... I just remember seeing the phrase "meat hanging in the windows" and thinking... "Cool!"
