This is a pretty hefty hike.

It's not a hike, per se, because it's not the Hornets. This is a new product in a completely different situation.

All I can really say is that we were shown the NBA for a certain price.

And a pretty discounted one compared to the rest of the league. We had a temporary situation and got temporary prices.

You can't compare it to the Hornets anymore. You have to compare it to the rest of the league and it's cheaper than about half of the league. This is a brand new team and, as such, it makes perfect sense that they would start out right about in the middle.

I fully expect them to adjust prices going forward depending on the success of the team and the demand for tickets. This way, they don't leave any money from premium seats on the table and still make game very accessible for most people. It would be worse, imo, if they started out at Hornets prices and then raised them 15-20% every year.

Hornet tickets were priced lower, because they were guaranteed a minimum profit, anything over that was to be shared with OKC.

Cid,

What is this increase you keep talking about? Team OKC has never had a chance to raise prices. This is the first time Team OKC has ever HAD prices. The stuff the Hornets did was from another organization entirely.

Now, if this were the Hornets coming back for whatever reason, that's one thing. But you really can't compare what Temporary Team A did against what Permanent Team B is doing. They're not the same at all.

I'm gonna get two tickets in Loud City and have a blast. I was in Club before but I can't quite swing that this year. But in the future I will and this team will be here a LONG time so I'm not worried about it. If you're not where you want to be this year, you will be eventually and that's all that matters.
