My opinion. I think it is time for whomever can go through and move, close, delete threads and such...do to that. There are many things that are so out of date that are saved as "stickies" that it just takes up space. I mean, do we really need to still have a poll for who is going to keep the Hornets?

Then there are the categories that haven't had posts in them in over 6 months, those can probably be deleted.

Just seems a little "spring cleaning" would be in order. Not to mention, may be time to get rid of the Sonics name on the stuff since that team no longer exists. :-P

I'd agree. It would also save on the recent resurrection of threads 2-3 year old threads that are such old news that they don't really matter much anymore.

or the 10+ threads we have discussing the new sonics name... there needs to be a point where new ones get locked...

Good ideas .. Look for some consolidation in the near future.

I don't think they should be deleted, but they should be closed so they can't be posted in.

I think posts dating back to two or more years should be archived so they can be found in a search option. Perhaps the mods could clean up what's seen to the normal lurker, but there has to be a way to resurrect archived threads.

Thanks for the suggestions, we are looking into options.

As far as I'm concerned you can lock anything that hasn't had a post in a couple of months. Resurrecting old threads is nuts and happens too often.

I agree, although I would say more like 9 months or a year. There are often developments that you don't hear anything about for that long.

there were some threads hiding out in 'okc metro area talk' that escaped my last sweep. old threads have been closed out there, too.
