The Wiggly Field Dog Park at I-40 and Sunnylane in Del City is worth checking out. It is a big open field with thick grass that is fenced for the dogs. There is a separate small dog area. There is ample parking and benches and shade awnings. This week, several toys were installed, including two tunnels, a three-tiered stepping pad, and a "hurdle". Bowls with running water, a kiddie pool, and clean up bags are provided.
Exit I-40 at Sunnylane, park entrance is on the north service road. Part of Ray Trent Park, which includes a pavilion, child playground equipment, restroom, and walking trail........This Post compliment's of Eastern Observer
They have been working on this park for four years now. They have a citizen group and each year they do some more to it.
For those who think it is a waste of money for dog parks............no its not ,yes its for the dogs but more important.....its for the people who have dogs and is another use of this location that normally wouldn't be utilized............:tiphat:
