I'm looking for a good, reputable company to work for that makes a difference (ie" feed the children", but not as shady, or YMCA). I'm struggling to find any mission organizations, Christian camps, Christian publications, charity organizations, etc. within the city. I've been doing tons of searches but am finding very little. Could really use some help or direction. Thanks!

You're looking for a paying job? You want a christian organization? Have you tried checking some local churches to see who they support? Just a thought. What sort of position are you looking for? What sort of qualifications do you have that you think they could use?

The YMCA is shady?

Maybe look at Christian Camp and Conference Association (http://www.ccca.org/).

Another possibility might be to look at some of the Christian ministry alliance organizations. One that comes to mind is Gospel.com (http://www.gospel.com/) where you can find a list of ministries. Getting a list together of potential contacts is a good idea.

Really it depends on what you want to do. If there are ministries that are doing something about which you also are passionate then that's a good place to start. Contacts lead to contacts. If you are more denominational oriented then begin making contacts there and it is probably best to start at your local church. There are many non-denominational groups.

Best wishes.

Yes, a paying job. Christian preferably. I have mostly administrative experience, although I'm attending school for advertising and have experience in most of the design programs that many companies use (Adobe) as well as proficient MS Suite. Ideally I would love an entry level or assistant advertising/marketing position. I just don't know where to start.
No, YMCA is great, I meant Feed the Children is shady.
