I do consulting work all around town, and it seems everywhere I go people are smacking gum like cows. It wasn't like this back home...maybe people there didn't like gum or something like that, I dunno LOL!!! Drives me up the wall, tell everyone to stop smacking gum all day long!!! blech!!! LOL I cannot tell you how many times before on camera interviews I have to say..."Would you mind taking your gum out for the interview?"

ha! Awesome. Reminds me, I was running a construction crew a few years ago and said the same thing to a fellow (was interviewing him for a job!) and he said "nah maaaaaan, my gum is whaaat keiiiieeeeeps me goin!!"

Believe it or not I hired him, dunno why!

Where is back home?

I, on occasion, am one of those smackers. I get lost in my thoughts with a piece (or two) of gum in my mouth sometimes, and I end up chewing to relieve tension. This is usually rendered as this regional racket that I admit is so grating.

I cringe when I see people on TV chewing gum... but I'll take chomping over smoking.

Dorchester...But with all it's faults OKC is my home from here on out. I think this won't come as a shock, but people here are a tad friendlier...even if they do love gum.
