In a nutshell: Not costing much more than fast food, but much more tasty.
My husband and I were hankering for seafood. We wanted something more than Long John's but we didn't want to shell out as much cash as Bourbon Street. Pearl's Fish House hit the spot.

Like a fast food joint, you walk up to the counter and order from the overhead menu. We noticed nothing was over $10 which is not bad for seafood. We decided to try the Shrimp Creole and much spicier Shrimp Pearl. Both were served with a piece of garlic bread and red beans/rice. The shrimp were huge and plentiful in both dishes. A server comes around with hot fresh hush puppies which were excellent. Tastewise, I like Bourbon Street food better, but for the price Pearl's Fish House is a nice alternative. My only complaint would be the size of the drinks. Refills of pop are free but there's only one size and IMO the cups are not big enough.
