Hello all, I will be in your fair city for 3 weeks in January, and was wondering what I can find to do to entertain myself.

Thanks

Go to the Wichita Mountains and do some hiking. Drive to the top of Mt. Scott at sunrise or sunset and see the views. Do some rock climbing. If you don't know how, get a guide.

Eat at Meers, a famous rustic restaurant that is all that's left of a once-bustling gold rush town.

Visit Medicine Park and stroll along the waterfront and visit the cute little shops. The entire town is made of cobblestones--it's very unique.

It'll be a little chilly, so bring warm clothes.

Wow jbrown, great ideas! I was going to say get rope, hang self. I lived in Lawton many years ago and hated it. But the areas outside Lawton are nice. I'd forgotten about those places.

I agree with all jbrown said.

On the way to Meers stop by the Parallel Forest.

I have seen a herd of antelope on Fort Sill in the Winter, right at the Medicine Park exit. Antelope with horns, in Winter. I've seen herds of Pronghorn in NM without horns, in Winter. Fort Sill has different antelope.

I've asked about it and everyone thinks I'm nuts. That's my challenge.

What breed of antelope lives on Fort Sill?
