Does anyone remember the film State Fair starring Pat Boone?

As you know, it was filmed partly in Oklahoma City in the early 1960's at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds and apparently has some classic retro footage.

Is it worth checking out? I've been looking for it but I think all copies have been destroyed.

There are a few in seller's store in Ebay.. but they aren't cheap! And this one doesn't ship out of the USA. But, you might find something....

Actually, I believe this version was filmed at the state fair of Texas. If memory serves, I believe there was a clip of Big Tex in the film as well. For my money the earlier version is the superior one although Ann Margeret is HOT! in this one.

According to Internet Movie Database, the race scene was filmed in OKlahoma City, so it's quite possible even more of the film was as well.

Wikipedia says Texas State Fair in Dallas. Take it for what it's worth. I don't really know how dependable either is since they are both edited by users.

Either way Ann Margeret is still HOT! in that movie. She saves the movie in my opinion.

I believe the film was shot at the Texas State Fair, but they didn't have a Grandstand, so the Oklahoma State Fair's facility was used in its place. It's definitely our track!
