The state's Thoroughbred racing championship night, enjoys its 15th renewal on Saturday, Sept. 29.
The Oklahoma Classics, presented by the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Association, has expanded to an eight-race lineup this year. The big night now boasts total purse money of $500,000 as the top accredited and eligible Oklahoma-breds battle for supremacy.
The $100,000 Oklahoma Classic is the main event with seven other divisional races offering great racing and wagering opportunities for horseplayers. The Classic has been won over the years by such greats as Brother Brown, Slide Show, Brush With Pride, Mr Ross, George Taylor and Zee Oh Six.
The action begins early at Remington Park on Oklahoma Classics Night as ARANDA begins their race-night performance at 5 p.m. A festival atmosphere surrounds the Oklahoma Classics with plenty of activities for the kids, making the night perfect for the entire family.
Special Made in Oklahoma gift baskets will be won by fans through hot seat selection on the Casino floor and with specially marked live racing programs.
