Last time I found some was in Dallas... Any information would be great!! metro 07-15-2007, 07:30 PM There are all sorts of deli's and places for fine cheeses. To start, try Crescent Market, Mediterranean deli, and there's another place I can't think of the name (Gourmet Gallery I think), but they have a location in Edmond and in Northpark Mall. There are also speciality gourmet wine and cheese stores in Edmond and Norman. John 07-15-2007, 08:31 PM If you can't get it at Forward Foods in Norman, you might be out of luck. tuck 07-15-2007, 09:05 PM Med Deli on North May is your best bet. Tell him what you want and he will special order for you...good luck. metro 07-15-2007, 09:14 PM yeah Forward Foods in Norman has tons of things. Good call John, that is the place I was thinking of. Also as tuck and myself mentioned earlier, Mediterranean Foods is your best bets in the central part of the city. soonerguru 07-15-2007, 11:28 PM Forward Foods in Norman would be the first place I'd call. Gourmet Gallery in Edmond may have what you're looking for also. Oh GAWD the Smell! 07-16-2007, 04:49 AM Is there any kind of cheese that isn't "fine"? I like all of it. It's all gouda. leh 11-26-2007, 01:26 PM Fast Forward and Mediterranean Deli are the closest to the "real" live breathable thing - not smothered in shrink wrap!! I hear there are plans to open a real cheese market in Edmond in the spring. That would be great soonerguru 11-26-2007, 07:26 PM I would be shocked if Forward Foods in Norman doesn't have it, or at least wouldn't get it for you. They're on Main Street downtown. I would call them first, without question. Martin 11-26-2007, 07:35 PM i've never heard of forward foods... other than cheese, what kind of stuff do they carry? what do they specialize in? how's their selection? sounds like a place i might have to visit. -M dismayed 11-27-2007, 12:28 AM They advertise on NPR all the time. Here's their website: Forward Foods (http://www.forwardfoods.com/) OKC PATROL 11-27-2007, 12:59 AM La Baguette Martin 11-27-2007, 06:14 AM thanks, dismayed! the place looks great... definitely gonna have to try it out. -M diesel 11-29-2007, 01:55 PM Forward Foods is amazing.. Martin 11-29-2007, 02:03 PM if not going for the cheese, is it worth the trip? -M diesel 11-29-2007, 02:09 PM yeah its an interesting place.. has different types of spices, crackers, pasta, cookies, drinks, beans, all sorts of high end foods... salsas, sauces, jellys... its cool.. they have a few meat products that are prepackaged as well.. Martin 11-29-2007, 02:56 PM good, good... i'm totally there. -M Tex 11-30-2007, 12:02 AM what about Watonga Cheese on 39th St Expressway (Rt. 66) near Warr Acres. I've never been there but drive by it often. I doubt they specialize in premium cheese. diesel 11-30-2007, 10:45 AM what about Watonga Cheese on 39th St Expressway (Rt. 66) near Warr Acres.
