ahhh what an action packed movie! My kids were enthralled from start to finish... boys!

But, I have to admit, I was into it as well. I love military fighter jets .. so this was right up my alley.

The special effects were simply spectacular... some of the plot and dialog was a little cheesy... and a few things I could have lived without, there were plenty of flaws in the movie but overall you can't beat it for pure, raw actionpacked entertainment.

The theater erupted in huge applause at the end of the movie.. that is always a good sign.

Two thumbs up.

Anyone else see it yet?

Still up in the air on this one...Self admitted dork as a kid, but never really got into the Transformers thing...I preferred the much grittier and realistic GI Joe :LolLolLol

May check it out on Netflix, but honestly it will likely be an HBO viewing

I never was into Transformers as a kid, and I knew nothing about the mythology.

But my friends were going to the late showing Tuesday night, so I went.

The SFX and the action are undeniably spectacular. There are some movies only Micheal Bay can pull off. Highly entertaining.

8/10 or B+

When I spend half the movie wanting to roll my eyes at their humor instead of laughing about it...That's bad. It was 7th grade humor at best.

I think they'd have been better off making it a darker, meaner movie...Instead of a slightly preachy, high-budget version of the cartoon. If The X-Men movies can pull this off while still appealing to a wide audience, This one should have been able to as well.

But yeah...I still liked it. :D

I saw it at a special preview Monday night. I really enjoyed it. I agree the dialog was very cheesy, but I went in expecting something with lots of cool action and cheesy acting, so it pretty much met my expectations. :)

I was a big fan of the original Transformers. One thing I didn't like about this movie was that Optimus Prime was really the only one that looked recognizably like the original animated character. I wish they had taken a little more time with Megatron and Starscream's look.

slightly preachy?

"Humans are so bad to each other, why are we protecting them"

"They're a young species"

Those type of cliche lines always get on my nerves.

I just wonder how much GM shelled out to that movie?
All the civilian vehicles besides Prime where under the GM umbrella it seemed.
I like it, may get put on the buy list.

Check out the sequel to the Matrix during the freeway scene, Nabber.

Definitely enjoyed it. It was one of those that you just had to continue to watch. The Sequal is definitely something I'm going to look forward to. I think if this works out like the Fantastic 4 does, the second one will be great.

Now on to Harry Potter! :)

I saw it tonight up at the Bricktown theater. Fantastic movie. The dialogue was cheesy... the working in of "more than meets the eye" could have been done without.. but brand development trumps all I suppose.

GM probably paid an arm and a leg for this movie. They'll sell a ton of those new Cameros. No doubt the discontinuance of said line was so that they could raise the price by $10K or so and bring it back a few years later.

It was an excellent movie in that it was great for kids (but for a few s-bombs), yet there was enough to keep any adult entertained.

It's not a 10/10, but damn close.

My boys asked me to see it with them, so I agreed to. I didn'texpect to like but I did. Spectacular special effects. Suprisingly entertaining.

Yeah it was really one 2-hour GM commercial.

I didn't even think too much about the GM angle while watching it.

I was just amazed by the special effects. I thought it was a very cool movie and the boys were spell bound through the entire thing.

I didn't think they were allowed to be "spellbound" by anything other than Harry Potter :)

Saw that one this morning.

I really enjoyed the movie. I like the fact since it was a movie for the younger population, that it was relatively clean. Too many movies anymore that have the lower rating are pushing their boundaries.

The special effects were definitely first class, especially if you compare it to the other "blockbusters" of the summer such as Spiderman 3.

The storyline was well written I would say. It had enough energy to capture the attention of any of the guys, while at the same time, it had some things in there for the ladies to appreciate too. It wasn't too corny and drawn out like many of the movies have done this year.

Another big plus is Megan Fox (I believe is who she was) is definitely attractive. I don't mind having to look at a 12 ft. tall picture of her for an extended amount of time.

I also enjoyed the fact they gave the Autobots real personable characters. Made the movie very enjoyable, and some good spots of humor. Also, incorporating the 2009 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro into it, that was a great idea. Not only can I not wait until the car comes out in 2009 (I have done extensive research, and followed Camaro's since I have been very young, and previous owner of one), I really like seeing a more life like representation of the car. I think it was a great move for Chevrolet. (Like the 7-11/Simpsons ploy that is going on with the store conversions)

I read and watched a lot of the interviews with the directors, editors, produces, etc. of the movie and they are wanting to make it into a trilogy. The thing that upset me the most about the movie is killing off Megantron so early in the "series" if that is what they are planning on doing.

Well, that's my opinion! Overall 4.5 stars, one of the better movies of the summer thus far.

Nah...Megatron would be easy to bring back...just say that he downloaded into another robot before he died.

I remember when the animated show was on TV (does that date me?) so was looking forward to it as much as my kids. We all thought it was good, plenty of action. No classic, for sure, but a good entertaining flick that I could share with my kids.

My best summer movie so far.

Gonna watch it again when it hit $1 theater :)
